According to WTVF-TV, country music star Craig Morgan assisted the victims of a truck accident on I-40, on June 9, in Humphreys County. Morgan, a trained EMT, was reportedly returning from a show in Texas when the accident occurred at around 11:15 a.m.
WTVF reports that Morgan and two crewmembers, Jerry Hines and Joey Greer, ran to the scene to help. “The singer helped emergency responders, extinguished a small fire and cared for the drivers,” the station reported.
“He responded and did exactly what he had been taught to do and was a huge help,” Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis told WTVF. “This is just another example of the kind of guy he is, he loves doing things for others.”
The crash reportedly involved three tractor-trailers running into each other, with one trailer containing hazardous materials. According to the sheriff’s office, everyone involved in the crash suffered minor injuries.
