According to the Tennessean, a pickup truck crashed into the Youth Academy building on Professional Park Drive in Clarksville on January 17.

Clarksville Police spokeswoman Natalie Hall said the department responded to an accident at 901 Professional Park Drive at around 11 p.m. Witnesses told police that a silver 2004 Ford F-250 pickup truck traveling east on Professional Park Drive drove into a parking lot, ran over curbs and crashed into the building.

Three individuals were reportedly in the truck at the time of the crash, fleeing the scene. Two of them left via a Dodge Charger that showed up following the crash, while a third man ran into the woods.

According to the Tennessean, a woman was inside the Youth Academy building at the time, making copies; she reportedly saw the headlights coming towards her and ran into another room to avoid being hit by the vehicle.

A press release by Clarksville Police said that two children were being babysat 15 feet away from the point where the truck stopped in the building.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation.
