According to WTVF-TV, a CVS worker was injured on May 27 in Franklin when a driver plowed a car into a pharmacy.

Officials with the Franklin Police Department said an 82-year-old woman mistook the gas pedal for the brakes and the car went inside the pharmacy on Farrier Lane at Hillsboro Road around 10:45 a.m., according to WTVF.

The car then struck a 49-year-old worker in the building, who had to be transported to a hospital for injury treatment.

“Right away we assumed the very worst, being that it was a CVS on a weekday when it was open and with the car reported to be through the building,” Charles Warner, spokesperson for the Franklin Police Department told WTVF. “We were relieved when we got here to learn there was only one person that was actually injured from the debris from the crash itself.”

The accident remains under investigation.
