CAN I SUE A DRIVER IF I AM INJURED IN A PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT OR MY LOVED ONE IS KILLED?
As we reported on Monday, the last time statistics were reported in 2012, the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security reported that 1,381 people were involved in pedestrian accidents in the Volunteer State.
These numbers are a tragic reminder that traveling by foot can be risky if negligent drivers are on roadways. Additionally, it should be noted that you should never leave the scene of an accident. Doing so can result in criminal punishment—it can also result in someone losing his or her life due to your inability to act in the situation.
