WTVF-TV reported that a school bus crash on April 21 in Hickman County left two students injured.
The crash reportedly occurred around 4 p.m., when a bus traveling eastbound on Primm Springs Road veered off the roadway and struck a fence. Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) said that the bus somehow went airborne before coming back onto the roadway and striking the items.
Eight children were on the bus at the time of the crash, with two suffering injuries. One reportedly had to be transported via LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Another was taken to Vanderbilt by ambulance.
The bus driver, James S. Christmas, 51, was also injured in the crash. He was reportedly taken to Hickman County Hospital for treatment.
The THP said that charges against Christmas are pending. The accident remains under investigation.
