Sadly, on April 21, a 10-year-old boy was killed in a Smryna truck accident. According to the Daily News Journal, the crash occurred on Old Nashville Highway at Rocky Fork Road.
Reports indicate that two vehicles, a Ford Explorer and a Chevy S-10, were involved in the accident, with the Explorer rolling over and ending upside down in the roadway. All four occupants of the SUV—which included an adult male, an adult female, a 10-year-old male and a 12-year-old male—were transported to the StoneCrest Medical Center for treatment.
The 10-year-old later died at the hospital. The driver of the truck was not injured. The accident remains under investigation and it is unclear what caused the crash.
SEEKING JUSTICE FOLLOWING A FATAL ACCIDENT
As we reported last week, if your loved one is ever involved in a fatal vehicle accident, you should contact an attorney who can provide you with compassionate legal guidance. While a lawsuit cannot undo what happened, it can hold a negligent driver liable following a crash.
Through a wrongful death lawsuit, you can obtain damages that may help you recover. In tragic cases where children are killed, you also can seek non-economic damages relating your pain and suffering in handling the loss. No parent’s son or daughter should die due to the reckless actions of another driver.
Our attorney believes that grieving families should not have to worry about dealing with insurance companies following fatal accidents. Let him take care of your legal concerns while you heal.
