Do you own a Trek bicycle? The manufacturer makes some of the most popular bicycles in the country, and it is currently involved in a massive nationwide recall after riders have been injured over alleged defects.
According to NBC News, Trek Bicycle Corp. has recalled nearly 1 million bicycles after three riders were injured in accidents and one person became paralyzed. The news outlet reported that the recall covers more than 900,000 bicycles sold in the U.S., and 98,000 sold in Canada.
The recall involves bicycles from the model years 2000 through 2015, “equipped with front disc brakes and a black or silver quick release lever[s] on the front wheel hub that open far enough to contact the disc brake,” the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said in a statement.
