According to WKRN-TV, two people were killed on October 25 in a head-on crash in Nashville, when a car crossed a centerline.
The station reports that the crash occurred at around 4 p.m. on the 8000 block of Poplar Creek Road. Police said that a Dodge Ram driven by a 45-year-old man crossed a yellow line and struck an SUV driven by a 19-year-old woman.
Both drivers died at the scene of the accident. Police said the man who crossed the centerline was not wearing a seatbelt. The female victim was wearing her seatbelt around her waist and not across her chest.
A man who was in the SUV driven by the female was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Police are still investigating the crash, but said the man in the Ram failed to remain in his lane of travel.
